How To Do A Weight Loss Cleanse
One of the top trends when it comes to dropping extra pounds is the weight loss cleanse. There are quite a few different cleanse programs from which you can choose. Some involve the use of supplements while others can be done without any added pills, powders or other formulas. The tissues of the body, especially the fatty tissues, can accumulate toxins over time. When you cleanse the body, many of these are flushed out. The colon is especially important when it comes to a body cleanse. This is because pounds of waste matter can build up in the colon and cause a host of unwanted symptoms.
For example, waste that has built up along the colon walls can lead to parasitic infection, weight gain, bloating, low energy and more. When you do a cleanse program this unwanted waste is flushed out along with the toxins that may be present. The end result of such a program should be a feeling of lightness, increased energy, and possibly even weight loss. You should consult your doctor before beginning a cleanse to make sure you are healthy enough to do so, in addition it is wise to get the approval of your doctor when it comes to the type of cleanse you want to do.
One of the easiest types of cleanse is the juice fast. This usually lasts from four to 10 days depending on your goals and the advice of your doctor. If you have never done a cleanse before, it is probably best to try the minimum duration. For this time period, you drink fresh juices and plenty of water but do not eat solid food. If you've never done this before, you may find that you are more fatigued and irritable than usual. Avoid strenuous exercise during your cleanse. You can try dry brushing the skin in an upwards motion which is good for the circulation, and soaking in a bath enriched with mineral bath salts. Because these techniques help draw out toxins also, replenish the body with plenty of water.
If you use supplements they may come with instructions that include a diet plan. You may or may not be permitted during the cleanse to eat solid food, and if so, there are probably foods that must be avoided. Regardless of the type of weight loss cleanse you choose, there are some after-cleanse steps to take. The day after, keep your diet light and consume only water, clear broth and steamed vegetables. The next day, fish and whole grains can be added in small quantities. After three days you can have what you want, however as a general rule white flour, white sugar, processed and fried foods should be avoided.
