According to CNN, clinical trials showed that between 60 and 70 percent of individuals tested lost a minimum of 5 percent of their current body weight.

There are many over the counter weight loss products available as well. One of the newer offerings is Hydroxycut, which comes in several varieties with the main product being Pro Clinical Hydroxycut. This product was also clinically tested with favorable results, and helps boost energy and lower your body mass index (BMI.) Like every weight loss supplement or drug you should use it in conjuction with a healthy eating and exercise plan. Drugs and supplements should be thought of as an extra boost, while regular workouts, the consumption of healthy foods and portion control should be your main diet strategy.

One of the most interesting new weight loss websites was recently reviewed by Time Magazine online. Healthywage.com actually pays users who drop their BMI to an approved amount within a specified period of time. There are both free sign up options and paid sign up options (the paid option increases the money you can earn.) There are strict rules and regulations for participation, for example your physician must call the company before and after the challenge to verify starting and ending weight. This is a great program for anyone who finds the addition of an incentive (in this case, cash) helps to motivate them and keep them on track with their diet and fitness goals.
